PARLIAMENTARY AND LOCAL ELECTIONS MAY 6TH
FIND OUT CANDIDATES ETHICAL PRINCIPLES BEFORE VOTING
It is a moral duty to not only vote, but to vote wisely. There will be between 30 -50% of new MPs in the next Parliament, and depending on their ethical stance the new Parliament will either accelerate the UK’s slide into anarchy and oblivion, or start the climb back into integrity. Some areas also are electing local councillors. So, before you vote, irrespective of personal party affiliations, find out the ethical stance of mainstream candidates ethical stances, and let their replies guide you at the polling booth
TWELVE QUESTIONS TO ASK MAINSTREAM CANDIDATES
Abortion: Do innocent unborn children have a right to be put to death?
Assisted Death: Should the terminally ill or the elderly be assisted to end their lives?
Civil Partnerships: Should marriage be confined to heterosexual couples?
Freedom of Expression: Do Christians have the right to publicly express opinions?
Home Education: Should parents have the right to teach their children at home?
MP’s Moral Conduct: Do you believe MPs moral lives are a private matter?
Opening Hours: Will steps be taken to reduce alcohol access, thus limiting drunkenness?
School Assemblies: Do you agree they should have a predominately Christian content?
Sex Education: Should this be restrained, particularly with the vulnerable young?
Sharia Law: Should Muslim Sharia law be introducted alongside British law?
Sunday Shop Opening: Should Sunday be treated the same as any other day in law?
Televison/Digital Media: Are current levels of violence, sex and obscenities acceptable?

1 Phone your Local Authority and ask for the electoral office, who.will give details
2 Look on the Local Authority website
3 Look up the Electoral Commission website: www.electoralcommission.org.uk
