MOM RESPONSE TO CABINET CALL FOR COMMENTS TO INFLUENCE GOVERNMENT POLICY
Civil rights have been turned upside down. It had been customary under common law to make amendments as new challenges arose in the context of past case law,. This has protected the rights of individual citizens without permitting the ‘rights’ of one group to overturn the legitimate rights of another.
The former Government step by step has brought into the courts judges even at the highest levels with strong secularist/humanist views, and as a consequence judgments have been made that not only go against the principle of fairness and reason, but have a clear bias against Judeo-Christian principles of fairness and the protection of minority groups.
This has created particularly in the public sector a censorship environment where the expression of personal opinion, such as on matters of faith, can result in suspension and dismissal.
Homosexuality is an example, where civil servants have conducted down the chain of command to any public sector body dealing directly with the public a subtle campaign of discrimination against any contradicting the opinions of gay activists This has nothing to do with provoking violence, but very much to do with the prevention of counter-arguments in areas such as the sexualising of young children with the aim of reducing teenage pregnancies. Evidence that such measures promote promiscuity are counter-productive is therefore not permitted, and indeed the cultural environment being created is putting at risk employment and advancement simply for holding alternative views.
The protection of human rights is fundamental to true democratic systems and the demand for citizen conformance to a political viewpoint or face punishment is the hallmark of Marxism economies, and certainly one of the undergirding principles of former Nazi Germany.
THE CHURCH IS MOVING FORWARD
A FRESH CALL FOR REPENTANCE AND RE-ENGAGEMENT WITH THE WORLD HISTORY
On July 18th., following a march of over 1,000 praying Christians, in Trafalgar Square there was a public plea to Almighty God for mercy and grace towards Church and State. A call was then made that Christians should no longer be silent. Initially supported through Christian Voice, MOR is now independent and the original vision of the Church moving forward is reflected in its mission statement below.
THE MARCH OF REPENTANCE MISSION
- By the enabling of the Holy Spirit, to equip the Body of Christ, in any country to be no longer silent in its ministry towards those in authority, in the context of the biblical command to love our neighbour as ourselves
- To focus particularly on intercessory prayer, and a ministry of engagement with those who are in positions of secular authority, locally and nationally.
- The objective is to establish or re-establish suitable righteous law within secular authorities of all kinds and levels, aligned with the teaching of Scripture.
- Simultaneously proclaiming personal and eternal reconciliation with God the Father, through God the Son Jesus Christ, brought about by the gracious enabling of God the Holy Spirit.
THE BURDEN DESCRIBED
Lawlessness is growing rapidly in a world that is increasingly coming under a centralised and atheist world government that rejects moral principles such as the family and marriage. As a consequence the Bride of Christ experiences growing interference with its doctrines and practices at a local church and individual Christian level, to force conformity with ungodliness.
WHY PRAY FOR THOSE IN AUTHORITY
Many Christians believe it is not their responsibility to pray about matters outside of the Kingdom of God, apart from ‘rescuing the perishing’, and to urge biblical moral responsibility upon governments and other authorities, being still ‘sinners’ is pointless and irresponsible.
But prayer for those in authority, whether at a local or national level, is not an option but a necessity if the Christian church is to enjoy peacefulness and recognition within societies overwhelmed with hatred and despair (1 Timothy :1-4)..
WHY TEACH RIGHTEOUSNESS TO THOSE IN AUTHORITY
The teaching of righteousness by the Church brings God directed wisdom to secular leaders overwhelmed through Satan-driven godless policies, and the application of godly law reduces affliction upon a nation and its citizens, and through grace awaken awareness of sin. (Matthew 5:13-16; Matthew 22:37-40 1 Peter 2:17; Romans 13; Galatians 3:23,24; Jeremiah 18:7-10)

At the time of the March letters were delivered to the Queen and Prime Minister. The Chairman, Anthony Busk at 10 Downing Street
WHY ATTITUDES MUST CHANGE
Repentance is necessary for the Church to move forward in prayer and testimony to those in authority . Whilst the providential wisdom of God is unfathomable, obedience may even reduce interference by the State and consequent suffering of churches and individual Christians, and that the gospel light will not be needlessly dimmed.
We must return to the love for God and our neighbour through the Lord Jesus Christ, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Deep rooted attitudes must change. Church leadership has created doubts in the plenary inspiration of Scripture through absorbing Darwinian based evolutionary interpretations. If the Church is to move forward the Bible’s authority must be re-established.
It’s vital that the Church finds its voice again and puts the hope of Christ back at the centre of society.
“Now Glory be to God. By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to do infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.” Eph3:20
